We are delighted to announce that we have been nominated as the flagship school for the construction company’s ACORN/SACYR new community hub platform. 

Acorn/Sacyr and Prospect Digital have collaborated to create an innovative platform aimed at empowering and supporting local communities in Cardiff and surrounding areas.

What this means for our learners across the Y Deryn family of schools is that our learners will have access to opportunities in learning new skills for personal and professional growth.  This will support learners in exploring careers they might may not have considered before e.g. in construction and health and beauty.  This is an innovative and inspirational project designed in enhancing the career prospects and aspirations for all learners, helping them in developing new hobbies and interests with the ultimate goal of boosting confidence and creating a sense of accomplishment.
