At Nyth y Deryn, safeguarding our learners is our top priority. We are committed to providing a safe, secure and supportive environment where every child can learn and thrive, free from harm. Safeguarding is embedded in everything we do, and all staff members are trained to recognise the signs of concern and are available to support you with any safeguarding matters you may have.

Working Together to Keep Learners Safe

We believe that effective safeguarding relies on strong partnerships between school, families, and outside agencies. Our staff receive regular safeguarding training to ensure they are equipped to identify and respond to concerns promptly and appropriately, in line with statutory guidance and local authority procedures.

If you have any safeguarding concerns about a child, however small they may seem, we encourage you to speak to a member of our safeguarding team or any staff member you feel comfortable talking to as soon as possible. All concerns are treated seriously, sensitively, and in confidence.
